Guilherme is a Masters in Materials Science for the Materials Science and Engineering Program at the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil (PPGCEM-UFSCar). Bachelor in Materials Engineering with emphasis on polymeric materials, also at UFSCar. Throughout his undergraduate and graduate degree, he worked in the department's polymeric materials laboratories, with an emphasis on electrospun polymeric nanocomposites, carbon nanotubes, ceramic nanofibers and elastomers applied in energy, performing both synthesis and characterization of materials. He is also the receipient of the Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship. Currently he is enrolled as MSc student at University of Calgary.
