Biography
Shudipto has a background in theoretical physics, and both his bachelor's and master's theses involved computational studies of solid-state quantum systems. He joined the University of Calgary in 2017 as a Research Assistant in Dr Sergei Noskov's lab, and eventually became a PhD student in 2018 under the joint supervision of Dr Dennis Salahub and Dr Sergei Noskov. His current research involves parametrization of CHARMM36 Drude Polarizable force field for biological systems, using both ab-initio (QM) methods and macromolecular simulations. In the near future, he plans to analyze thermodynamic properties of large MD simulations, particularly for the development of analytical techniques for complex free-energy landscapes.
