Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) Play and Alcohol Self-Administration Study

The use of alcohol while people gamble in casinos is quite common. Other research has found that alcohol does change the way that people behave and this is also true for how they gamble. However, we don't know nearly as much about how gambling can also impact the way people drink. This project is a laboratory experiment that may ultimately help us understand how these two behaviors influence each other. We believe that this is important for creating better treatment programs for people who have alcohol and gambling problems. By participating in this study, you will be helping researchers and doctors to learn how to better treat addiction.
