HR and Payroll FAQs

Payroll / Timesheets

It is not possible to deny hours once they have been coded on an employee’s Timesheet. If there is a discrepancy please speak to your employee to clarify and ask the employee to adjust their timesheet entries. For audit purposes, managers are required to acknowledge the unapproved time employee’s have worked from their Task List under the “Acknowledge Previously Paid Time” section.

Timesheet entries must be entered by the employee or designated timekeeper of the department.  When Timesheets lock for campus they also lock for HR and Payroll and hours can only be entered or adjusted once the payroll process is completed.

Please send an email request to payrolluc@ucalgary.ca in the subject indicate ROE request.
