The Women’s Resource Centre and The Faculty of Social Work hosted the Right To Love (R2L) exhibit. R2L is a collaboration between the Disability Action Hall and the Centre for Sexuality – created by people with disabilities and their allies who believe in every person’s right to love, relationships and sexual health information. There was also a small group discussion where attendees explored the right to love and be loved, as told by individuals with disabilities and their allies.
Ecofeminism is many things; a theory, a way of life, a philosophy, a social change movement. It provides us with a multi-layered, intersectional structure to make sense of the world. In this event, attendees considered ecofeminism, in both theoretical and practical ways, and looked at the complex, contextual foundation for ecofeminism. We learned about the issues with which ecofeminists are concerned, and considered the relevance of ecofeminism in today's world – in both larger social-political terms and in personal terms.
This event is presented by Joe Kadi, Women's Studies Coordinator and Instructor.
