Biography

For more than 26 years, Barb Higgins highlighted social issues as an award-winning journalist and documentary producer. In 2010, Barb ran in the Calgary Mayoral race. After months of engaging with the public on a wide variety of civic and social issues, she won the votes of 91 thousand Calgarians, placing third overall. Barb is an active community member and contributor in the non-profit sector.
