While we will try our best to support drop-ins, our services are generally offered by appointment, so booking an appointment via e-mail or via the Disclosure form is the best way to connect with our office.
To protect everyone’s privacy, our office door stays locked – just knock and if a team member is available, they will come to you right away! Our office hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday, and we are closed on all holidays.

Paula Russel

Paula has worked in the field of sexual and gender-based violence for over ten years in education, volunteer management, front-line and leadership roles and has a passion for supporting people who have experienced trauma. Paula is a dynamic facilitator and uses her extensive experience as a curriculum developer to create learning environments that are inclusive and engaging. She is a certified mentor for the Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services’ First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training program and serves on the provincial advisory committee for the program. She is passionate about anti-oppressive practice, trauma-informed care and primary prevention through education. When she's not on campus, you can often find her reading, hiking or spending time with her husband and cat.
Alanna Nazarko
SGBV Support Advisor

Alanna is a Registered Social Worker and current Master of Social Work student with a background in psychology, marketing, and community-based advocacy. She serves as a Support Advisor for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Support Office, where she provides trauma-informed support, case management, risk assessment, and systems navigation to students, staff, and faculty. Alanna brings experience from frontline crisis support, including her work with the Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse and as a current member of the Calgary Sexual Assault Response Team (CSART). Her practice is grounded in feminist, anti-oppressive, and intersectional frameworks, and she is passionate about prevention, education, and survivor-centered advocacy. Outside of work, Alanna is a mother of three, an enthusiastic knitter, and a devoted cat lover.
