Architecture, Planning and Landscape 682       Contexts of Design Practice Research
Exploration of diverse design practice contexts and communities of practice essential to understanding and developing a research question. Precedent examination of design practices, approaches, and case studies via professional and academic publications are used to understand various social, political, economic, and cultural contexts impacting the student’s research question. Students develop an understanding of how contexts impact the researcher, the research question, the choice of research methods, dissemination of research, and other aspects of practice based research. Introduction to ethics training.
