Students may choose to combine the Master of Management degree with the Master of Science degree offered through the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Master of Management/Master of Science

The Haskayne School of Business offers a combined dual degree program with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). This dual degree results in two graduate degrees, the Master of Management from the University of Calgary and the Master of Science from TUM.

Students apply to the dual degree program through the University of Calgary but must meet admission requirements of both institutions.

2. Admission Requirements

In addition to meeting Faculty of Graduate Studies requirements for admission, the Master of Management program requires the following:

a) Completion of a four-year non-business bachelor’s degree.

b) A minimum admission grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 calculated over the last 60 units of university-level courses at the time of application (Graduate Management Admission Test or GMAT not required).

c) Students with an admission GPA between 2.70 and 3.00 may be considered for admission based on a combination of admission GPA and an acceptable GMAT score. Admission is based on the following equivalent achievement score: [(GPA x 200) + GMAT] >/= 1150*.

*Consult the Haskayne School of Business about the GMAT.

d) Typically, a maximum of three years professional work experience since the completion of an undergraduate degree.

e) A current resume.

h) For applicants required to present proficiency in English, a minimum TOEFL (Internet-based) score of 97 with no section less than 20, an IELTS score of 7.0 with no section less than 6.0 or a CAEL overall score of 70. This requirement can also be met by completing the Academic Communication Certificate (https://esl.ucalgary.ca/programs/academic-communication-certificate) with a minimum overall grade of "A-".

It is recommended that applicants complete an undergraduate course in economics, statistics, mathematics or psychology. Admitted students will be provided with online preparatory course work through the Haskayne School of Business prior to starting specific courses in the program.
