a) Students must be satisfactory on all courses for any given year to progress to the next level (i.e. Year 1 Level Courses must be satisfactory to progress to Year 2 Level Courses, Year 2 Level Courses to progress to Year 3 Level Courses). Students who have requirements pending, such as deferred or rewrite examinations, will be conditionally promoted to the next level and allowed to continue until exams have been completed on the scheduled dates for deferrals and rewrites.
b) Students will be given two attempts at each year of study in the MD program. A student who is required to repeat a year for academic or professional reasons (whether Year 1, Year 2, or Year 3) must be successful on the second attempt or will be required to withdraw.
