To be considered for admission, applicants must present the following requirements:
- a degree with at least 15 full-course equivalents from an accredited post-secondary institution recognized by the University of Calgary and
- a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.50.
Admission to the program is on a competitive basis by subject specialization; therefore, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
The GPA is calculated using the grades from the most recent course work to a maximum of five full-course equivalents (University of Calgary courses and/or transferable courses taken at other institutions). All grades within a term will be included, except where the number of courses taken within a term exceeds five full-course equivalents, in which case the highest grades will be used.
For students currently completing a degree, Winter Term, Spring Term, and Summer Term grades will not count toward admission for the following Fall Term. However, admission is conditional subject to a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or higher in these courses.
