3.2.18 Domain of Intercultural Courses

An Intercultural Requirement is applicable to Multidisciplinary degree programs, certain interdisciplinary degree programs and degree programs offered by the Department of Communication and Culture.  One of the two ways that this requirement can be satisfied is by taking a specified number of courses from the Domain of Intercultural Courses, which includes the courses listed below and any additional courses listed on the Faculty of Arts website.

While the courses are grouped into thematic areas for information purposes, students are free to choose from several areas.

Where the courses below are counted toward a Major or Minor Field, they may also be used to satisfy the Intercultural Requirement.

Language and Culture

  • All courses labelled: Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Latin, Japanese, Native Languages, Romance Studies, Russian, Slavic, Spanish.

Notes:

  • Many of the courses listed have prerequisites. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that prerequisites are completed.
  • All courses are not offered every year and some courses may only be offered intermittently.
