Five courses taken concurrently represent a normal full load. Students who have completed such a course load through the previous Fall and Winter Terms with a grade point average of at least 3.20 will be permitted to register in six courses concurrently. Students with prescribed programs that require a sixth course will also be permitted to register in six courses concurrently. All other students may carry additional courses only with the special permission of the Associate Dean (Students). Extra courses represent substantial burdens and may adversely affect overall performance.
In many programs, opportunities for accelerated progress also exist through credit courses in the Spring and Summer Terms as well as credits obtained "by Special Assessment."
