10 years celebrating innovation and excellence in teaching and learning — you can nominate someone until Sept. 25
Teaching Awards banner with a orange to red to pink gradient and in the background. There are gold stars above and a shooting star. The words say "Teaching Awards. Celebrating teaching excellence since 2014."

Do you remember the most impactful teaching memory you have? Was it as a student with a teacher who helped you find direction? Or was it as an educator, seeing a student brighten with new understanding?

The power of education is clear — learning has an impact on every area of life.

The University of Calgary Teaching Awards recognize teaching excellence in UCalgary educators across the campus. Since 2014, the awards have honoured 197 individuals and groups who demonstrate commitment and expertise to create deep and lasting learning experiences for students, including seven instructors who have gone on to become 3M National Teaching Fellows.

Students, faculty, staff, and postdoctoral scholars all have the opportunity to nominate outstanding individuals and groups for a teaching award.

There are 15 award categories, including group and individual awards:

Nominations close Sept. 25, 2024 and the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning has a variety of resources to support the nomination and submission process.
