Did you know that you can catch the flu from someone who doesn’t even look or feel sick yet? How about that a single sneeze can release up to 40,000 droplets of flu germs? Influenza immunization is one of the best ways to prevent influenza illness.

“I encourage all students, faculty and staff to take advantage of the conveniently located clinics on campus and help do your part to keep our campus community healthy,” says Brendan Webster, occupational health nurse at the University of Calgary.

The 2016 Influenza Campaign at the university is a partnership between Staff Wellness, the Students’ Union, and the SU Wellness Centre in collaboration with Alberta Health Services. It also includes support from University of Calgary undergraduate nurses to administer the vaccines and as well as countless volunteers from the campus community to help run the clinics.

Full details are available on the Staff Wellness website.
