Overview
Dr. Kyle O’Keefe is a Professor in the Department of Geomatics Engineering, and is a member of the Position, Location and Navigation Group (PLAN). Dr. O’Keefe is also the Treasurer and Past Vice Chair of the Alberta Section of the Institute of Navigation, and a member of the Steering Committee of the Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation conference series. His research focuses on the integration of Global Navigation Satellite Systems and Wireless Location using ground-based ranging for accurate, available, and reliable positioning and navigation. He can apply this technology for aerospace applications such as pedestrian and land vehicle navigation, as well as autonomous landing systems and relative navigation of groups of vehicles including land vehicles, aircraft and spacecraft.
