Students in the Community-Based pathways of the Four-Year BEd and the Two-Year BEd (After-Degree) programs must attend face-to-face on-campus instruction during two intensive weeks during the Summer Term and then will continue with an online blended component for the remainder of the term, unless express permission is given by the Undergraduate Programs Office. The Orientation activities that occur during this period are mandatory. Courses with a blended delivery mode have scheduled synchronous sessions throughout the term that must be attended.

Students in the on-campus pathways of the Four-Year BEd, Five-Year BEd Concurrent and Two-Year BEd (After-Degree) take courses predominantly on-campus.

Previously completed coursework from other post-secondary institutions or the University of Calgary which is more than ten years old at the time of admission may be included in the program only with written permission of the Associate Dean.
