Italian 201       Beginners' Italian I
This course, designed for students with no previous knowledge of the language, provides training in the comprehension, speaking, reading and writing of Italian.

Credit for Italian 201 and Italian 30 will not be allowed.

Italian 399       Topics in Italian Masterpieces: Film and Literature
Study of one or more Italian works of literature and film, focusing on Italian masterpieces that have had an influence on European culture as a whole. Students will read and analyze the work(s) in English translation, and place it in its historical, philosophical, social and political context.

Discussion of selected topics in Italian language, literature or culture. Course designed to develop writing skills.
