A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS
Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.3.1 Major Degree Programs.
B. MAJOR-FIELD REQUIREMENTS
Students must successfully complete a minimum of 48 units to a maximum of 60 units in Courses Constituting the Field of International Relations while fulfilling the following requirements:

Core Courses: 24 units Anthropology 203, Economics 201, 203, Geography 254 or 352, History 307, Political Science 381, International Relations 301 and 501.

Thematic Cluster: 12 units, of which at least 6 units must be at the 400 level or above, from a single one of the three thematic clusters: International Political Economy, Security and Strategy, or International Institutions and Governance. (See Courses Constituting the Field of International Relations for more information.)

Regional Cluster: 12 units, of which at least 6 units must be at the 400 level or above, from a single one of the six regional clusters: North America; Latin America; Europe; Asia/Pacific; Middle East and North Africa; and Africa. (See Courses Constituting the Field of International Relations for more information.)
*A maximum of 3 units of International Relations 597 may be counted toward the Major and will be assigned to the pertinent cluster by the Program Co-ordinator.
C. OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Language Requirement: 12 units, either 12 units in a single language other than English or 6 units in each of two languages other than English. It is recommended that students select a language or languages related to their chosen regional cluster.

Statistics Requirement: 3 units from Political Science 399, Statistics 205, 213.
