4.5.8 Double Major and Major/Minor Combinations

A Double Major program combining any two of Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science can be obtained by a program of study meeting the requirements of both Major programs. A Major in General Mathematics cannot be combined with any other Major or Minor program offered by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Note in particular the Faculty of Science requirement that at least 48 units (8.0 full-course equivalents) in each of the two fields be included. For Major/Minor combinations within Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science, the student must obtain the permission of the Undergraduate Director.

Combined degree programs are not available within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
