Students admitted to the IFP Pathways to Business stream complete a two-year curriculum made up of instructional and enrichment English language courses and the 200-level requirements of the Bachelor of Commerce degree program. In place of the Recommended Program Sequence noted above for direct-entry Bachelor of Commerce students, IFP Pathways to Business students follow a structured program sequence that stretches over two years and combines the first-year courses of the business program concurrently with English language support courses offered by the IFP. Courses are subject to the academic regulations of the teaching faculty.
The English language support courses of the Pathways to Business program consist of 18 units or 3.0 full-course equivalents made up of:
- 7 unpaired academic English language instructional courses: International Foundations Program Business (IFPB) 231, International Foundations Program (IFPX) 230, 235, 236, 237, 332, 334
- 5 English language enrichment courses paired to and taken in the same term as the corresponding Bachelor of Commerce courses: International Foundations Program Business (IFPB) 201, 203, 213, 217, 227
IFP Pathways to Business students complete the following two-year curriculum while registered in the Haskayne School of Business, with a maximum of 15 units or 2.5 full-course equivalents taken per term:
1Junior Option courses may be taken in any order over the two-year program. Students are advised to refer to 3.3 Course Work "Enrolment in Non-Commerce Courses" for option selection. Only one Economics course can be used towards the Non-Commerce Options or Social Sciences Options in the Bachelor of Commerce degree. Junior or Senior Non-Commerce Options cannot be Statistics.

3Students who wish to pursue a Concentration in Petroleum Land Management are advised that a 200-level course in Geology is recommended prior to registration in the introductory Petroleum Land Management courses.
4International Foundations Program (IFPX) 332 with a grade of "C" or higher may be used to fulfill the Junior English requirement in the Bachelor of Commerce degree, as long as the International Foundations Program is successfully completed.
5Students who wish to pursue a Concentration in International Business Strategy are advised that demonstrated proficiency equivalent to two courses in ONE modern language other than English is a requirement of this Concentration. A modern language minor is recommended. Refer to 4.1.3.1 Concentrations for further details.
It is recommended that students enrol in a minimum of 12 units or 2.0 full-course equivalents per term. Upon successful completion of the IFP Pathways to Business two-year curriculum, students proceed to complete the senior-level requirements of the Bachelor of Commerce degree program. With the exception of International Foundations Program (IFPX) 332, International Foundations Program (IFPX) and International Foundations Program Business (IFPB) courses are not for credit toward the Bachelor of Commerce degree requirements.
IFP Pathways to Business students adhere to the academic policies of the Haskayne School of Business. In addition, students are subject to a joint academic review process by the Werklund School of Education and the business school.
