A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS
Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.4 Graduation.
B. MAJOR-FIELD REQUIREMENTS
Students must successfully complete exactly 10.5 full-course equivalents in the Field of Earth Science while fulfilling the following requirements:
1. Core Courses:
(a) Archaeology 201.
(b) Geography 211, 231, 251, 305, 313, 321, and 391.
(c) Geography 307 or Geology 373.
(d) Geology 201, 203, 311, 337, 341, 381, and one of 307 or 491.
(e) Geophysics 355 or 565, and 375.
2. Upper Level Earth Science Options. 1.0 full course equivalent chosen freely from among the following:
- Archaeology 413, 453, 611
- Earth Science 401, 501
- Geography 403, 405, 411, 413, 415, 417, 421, 433, 457, 503, 509, 519, 521, 531, 537
- Geology 401, 441, 471, 475, 555, 561
3. Methods: Geography 333 or 357.
C. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Mathematics: Mathematics 249 or 251 or 281 or Applied Mathematics 217.
2. Chemistry: Chemistry 201 or 211.
3. Science Options: 2.0 full-course equivalents from: Applied Mathematics 219; Astrophysics 213; Biology 241, 243; Chemistry 203 or 213; Mathematics 211 or 213, 253 or 283; and Physics 211 or 221, 223.
