TRANSFER AWARDS:
General Information and Policies
Transfer Awards are offered to students entering the University of Calgary who have received transfer credit for the equivalent of at least five full courses completed at another post-secondary institution or for University of Calgary students in exchange programs who are returning to the University of Calgary with transfer credit for the equivalent of at least four full courses completed at their host institution. Transfer courses that are extra to the degree will not be included in the required minimum five full course equivalents or four full course equivalents for U of C exchange students. Students must be pursuing a first degree.
·Upon completion of consecutive Fall and Winter Sessions at the University of Calgary, transfer students are then eligible to apply for Competitive Undergraduate Awards.
·Students entering or continuing in the Bachelor of Education (Master of Teaching Program) are not eligible for Transfer Awards, however, they are eligible to apply for Competitive Undergraduate Awards; Deadline is August 1.

$ Selection is based on the most recently completed five full course equivalent courses as determined by the Admissions Office.
$ In order to be considered for scholarships, students must normally present a minimum GPA of 3.20 and to be considered for bursaries, students must normally present a minimum GPA of 2.60.
$ Supplemental, deferred and special deferred examinations or term work may affect eligibility for awards.
$ As awards are only tenable at the University of Calgary and only for the current academic year, recipients must be registered full-time at the University of Calgary in order to receive the award.
$In support of the Academic Plan, awards are distributed among the most deserving students and in keeping with the terms of reference for awards. The University assumes liability for the payment of scholarships, bursaries, prizes and other awards only to the extent that gifts from donors, or returns from particular investments for these purposes will permit.
As this information is published a considerable time before the opening of the session, the University reserves the right to make whatever changes circumstances may require, including cancellation or addition of particular awards.
