POET - Precision Oncology and Experimental Therapeutics (POET) Protocol

Summary

A program designed to monitor current treatment responses and to develop new strategies to identify tailored therapies for cancer patients.
Our group of researchers proposes to develop new strategies to identify tailored therapies for cancer patients. These strategies are based on analysis of DNA, RNA, metabolomics and microbes from a variety of samples (blood, urine, stool and saliva) that we are asking to collect from you.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: Yes

Eligible gender: Male, Female, Transgender, Other

Eligible ages: 18 to 100

Inclusion criteria:

1. Confirmed diagnosis of cancer, based on diagnostic imaging reports(e.g CT scan, MRI) or pathology reports (tissue)
2. Undergoing therapy at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre
3. Males or females at least 18 years of age
4. Signed informed consent

Exclusion criteria:

1. Patients unable to provide written, informed consent
