Metamorphism and tectonics in the southern Kootenay Arc, southeastern British Columbia

For his PhD, Ewan examined aspects of metamorphism, structure, geochronology, thermochronology and tectonics within a region of southeastern British Columbia bounded by the communities of Creston, Salmo and Nelson. This geologically complex region embraces parts of the southern Kootenay Arc, Purcell anticlinorium, and north end of the Priest River complex, and lies at tectonic interface between the accreted, arc-related rocks of the pericratonic Quesnellia terrain, and sedimentary and volcanic rocks that accumulated on the western margin of the rifted North Amertican craton.
