Sakrit Hait received his doctoral degree in Materials Science (2022) from the Dresden University of Technology, Germany. His research work was mainly focused on developing sustainable polymer composites by using a suitable alternative feedstock. Besides the doctoral research work, he also worked on several other projects to develop self-healing materials, sensors, actuators, triboelectric nanogenerators. Then he started working as a postdoctoral researcher at Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research, Dresden, Germany, where he worked on polymer recycling. In 2023, he joined the Centre for Advanced Polymers and Nanotechnology at the University of Calgary for another postdoctoral experience, to work on graphene-based polymer nanocomposites for smart applications.
