Your gift supports a caring campus community

Your UCalgary is for a caring campus community

The University of Calgary is committed to creating a fully supportive and caring campus community where all can thrive to meet their full potential.

It’s just one way UCalgary is making a difference — and your gift will take us even further.

Students' Greatest Needs Fund

Students' Greatest Needs Fund

Each year, there are some students who can’t afford basic necessities that many take for granted, like healthy food or a safe place to live. Your gift to the Students Greatest Needs Fund provides the emergency financial assistance these students need to get back on their feet and focus on their goals.

UCalgary Strong Project

This program supports student mental health and facilitates leadership and engagement. It welcomes students into the campus community and reduces loneliness and isolation – as well as equiping students to become grounded leaders, build a cohesive community, and develop personal resiliency.

Students Helping Students

For some students, a kind and supportive peer can be the difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling empowered to thrive. In 2019/20, almost 400 Peer Helper volunteers created programming, supported events, and provided drop-in peer support across campus.

Scholars Academy

Scholars Academy

In Scholars Academy, our highest-achieving students find a supportive and engaging community of peers and mentors — one that pushes them to dream bigger and reach higher. By supporting this remarkable program, you’re expanding the potential of future leaders who will go on to make a positive difference in Canada and beyond.

Substance Harms Reduction Program

This critical program equips students to avoid serious harm due to substance use. It increases awareness, education, and the adoption of harm reduction approaches and healthy habits. By promoting open and honest discussion, it also helps reduce stigma.

Faith and Spirituality Centre Fund

Our diverse student population represents a wide variety of faith and cultural backgrounds. Supporting the Faith and Spirituality Centre provides a safe and accepting space for students, both within and between their various faith communities.

Women's Resource Centre Fund

The Women's Resource Centre offers a safe and welcoming place for students, staff, faculty, and the community to connect. Your donation helps us promote equality, build community, and help students develop practical skills to support the feminist theory they learn in the classroom.
