Prepare students for next gen careers

Prepare students for next-gen careers

That's what we're doing with $1.41 billion

Invest in future entrepreneurs

Among the incredible $91 million in legacy gifts made to UCalgary during the Energize campaign was a commitment from Mark Blackwell, BComm’11, and Jackie Fong, BA'10. Dedicated to entrepreneurial-thinking initiatives at UCalgary, their legacy gift will ensure that the university’s innovation ecosystem remains strong well beyond their lifetimes.

Develop ethical business leaders

A $9.5-million initiative at the Haskayne School of Business empowers the next generation of business leaders with the creation of the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership in Business. The founding donors of the centre are Mac Van Wielingen, Hon. LLD’14, wife Susan, and their family through the Viewpoint Foundation; ARC Resources Ltd., led by CEO John Dielwart, BSc’77; ARC Financial Corp., led by CEO Kevin Brown; and Kevin and Nadine Brown through the Brown Family Foundation.

Prepare and inspire the next generation of energy lawyers

The Faculty of Law received a $750,000 gift from Norton Rose Fulbright Canada. That gift has enabled the Faculty to expand its offerings in energy law curriculum, and created opportunities such as the unique International Energy Lawyers Program.

Invigorate next-generation engineers

The Canadian Natural Resources Limited Engineering Complex expansion project created a hub for teaching and research in a variety of engineering disciplines. The expansion enhanced the learning environment for researchers and students as they seek out practical and creative solutions to complex problems that can be shared across Canada and around the world.
