Husky Project Management Fund
The Husky Project Management Fund exists to support graduate and postdoctoral students in oil and gas project management within the Centre for Project Management Excellence at the Schulich School of Engineering. In the 2020-21 academic year, the fund supported three students who focused on cutting-edge research for improving safety on construction sites and developed a light, inexpensive and anchorless tracking system to alert workers when they are close to danger zones.

“During the pursuit of my graduate studies, I received a number of scholarships, attended five conferences, wrote three journal papers, and acquired many professional and academic skills. Without the support of our brilliant industry partner, this would never be possible. I will always remember and appreciate the support provided and contribute back to society!”

“During the last year, I was able to participate in my first-ever conference and have my first paper and formal presentation in it. “Being a graduate student can be a challenge, but also a huge opportunity to improve our professional and personal skills for a better future. This opportunity has allowed me to focus on my studies at UCalgary, be part of technical conferences and workshops, participate in various volunteering organizations, and do research on something I’m passionate about. This is a life-changing experience for me, and it would not be possible without your kind support.”
