| ABOUT LCG | For almost 20 years, the
      Faculty of Environmental
Design at the University of Calgary
has responded to community requests for interdisciplinary planning, design,
and development assistance. In order to serve communities in a more comprehensive
manner, the Faculty established the interdisciplinary Centre for Livable
Communities (CLC). The Centre's name was changed to the
Centre for Environmental Design Research and
Outreach (CEDRO) in November 1995, but the CLC lives on as a component
known as the Livable Communities Group.
The purpose of the Group is to provide innovative, practical, and leading edge research, products, and services to communities, regions, individuals, and organizations. Through a long-term commitment to this mission, the Group is a highly visible University-based research and outreach organization which offers unique interdisciplinary research, advice, information, and support to a range of client groups on local, provincial, national and international levels. For more information on the Group see the Group Background page.
