Programme Updates PLANNING

Bill Perks has retired from the Faculty but continues to be involved in two courses as well as the supervision of MDPs. After several months of meetings and curriculum review, the Programme has restructured its courses. Major changes include: the restructuring of Programme core material into four omnibus courses. These courses are designed to integrate material and are using a series of learning experiences. All students will now enroll in two MDP seminars designed to help in the development of a proposal as well as to carry out the work The new curriculum is designed to be completed, normally, in two calendar years. Anyone who requires further information should contact me. Students are fundraising for their trip to the Canadian Association of Planners meeting in Halifax. They are also preparing a publication which will outline student interests and qualifications. The publication will be forwarded to potential employers.
