  • The image shown to the left forms part of the banner at the top of each web page and is a photograph of the typical Susac's Syndrome abnormality seen in the retina upon fluorescein angiography. It shows typical "leakage" of fluorescein through the injured walls of 3 small arteries in the retina (see arrows). For more information about "leakage", go to "About Susac's Syndrome" and click on "Eye."
  •  We have chosen this image for the banner because we want people to associate Susac's Syndrome with this image of retinal artery injury and "leakage."
  • The image, itself, was designed for an announcement of the Fourth Annual Susac's Syndrome Symposium at Ohio State University (2008) and was graciously given to us by Martin Lubow, MD, Emeritus Professor of Neuro-ophthalmology at Ohio State and organizer of the annual Susac's Syndrome Symposia.
