Biomedical Engineering Strategy Consultation

In pursuit of the University of Calgary's Strategic Research Plan, we have been working to develop the Engineering Solutions for Health: Biomedical Engineering research strategy.

In response to a survey led by the BME Calgary Interim Steering Committee this spring, many of you provided great suggestions about our strengths and the “Research Challenges” that could help define the university's strategy for the research theme Engineering Solutions for Health: Biomedical Engineering. The smaller group workshops that followed helped to synthesize the information into a draft strategy document, which will now be presented to you for feedback and discussion.

The Office of the Vice-President (Research) and the BME Calgary Interim Steering Committee hosted the Engineering Solutions for Health: Biomedical Engineering Research Strategy Townhall on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.

The next step is consultation with the university community.
