Lab
The Network Research Lab has many resources to carry out our experiments. Everything from Wireless equipment and laptops for real world measurement and testing to our own dedicated servers for simulations and analysis. We are also able to access resources provided by WestGrid and PlanetLab.
Below is a list of some of our hardware:
Wireless Equipment
- Laptops of various makes and models
- PDAs with integrated wifi/bluetooth and expansion packs allowing for pcmcia card use
- TelosB IEEE802.15.4 zigbee wireless programmable sensor motes with integrated usb ports, temperature, humidity, and light sensors
- Wifi grabbers (individually useable or hardwired ones placed around campus)
- Wifi Spectrum Analyser
- High Gain antennas
- Access Points
