Recycling Program

We are collecting used and unusable electronic devices including cell phones, cds, light bulbs, cell phones and rechargable batteries; these items will be recycled and thereby kept out of the landfill! Electronics can cause much environmental damage when disposed of improperly: if buried, they may leak unwanted chemicals into the water table; when incinerated, these same toxins are released as gases, poisoning the atmosphere and contributing to global climate change. The Eco Club has therefore placed several drop-boxes in strategic locations around the Campus (disguised as white shoe boxes - they can be identified by the symbol above). Use them!

The Students' Union Office
