Designing Libraries for the 21st Century
Third Annual Conference
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the Designing Libraries III Conference September 28 - 30, 2014. Libraries and Cultural Resources was proud to host the event at the University of Calgary.
Librarians, architects, planners, designers, technologists and educators from across North America gathered to discuss the challenges and achievements of designing libraries and learning centres for the 21st century.
The event included two pre-conferences and tours of the Taylor Family Digital Library, one of the most innovative and experience-rich academic libraries in North America. The Taylor Family Digital Library has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification.
Designing Libraries III was co-hosted by the University of Calgary, the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) and North Carolina State University Libraries.
