Beilei WuBiography: Beilei joined PHIRC as a studentship in Social Network Analysis under the supervision of Dr. Penny Hawe and Dr. Alberto Nettel-Aguirre. She will be working on two main projects: the first one is the analysis of the social networks of school children as part of the Centre's school mental health promotion program; the second one is organisational network analysis from 16 communities conducted within the content of a large scale preventive community intervention trial. Beilei received her BSc in Statistics (2007) and MSc in Biostatistics (2009) from University of Calgary. She is currently a PhD student in Statistics at University of Calgary. She belongs to the Research Group in Biostatistics, a group of biostatisticians in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics who carry out methodological research in statistics with its applications in medicine and health, biology, genetics, the environment, and other related fields. Research Interests: Multivariate models for mixed discrete and continuous outcomes, copula modelling, methods for analyzing correlated data, statistical problems in medicine, and statistical methods for social network analysis.
