Duyen NguyenBiography: Duyen is a PhD student in the Department of Community Health Sciences, specializing in Population and Public Health. Under the co-supervision of Drs. Lynn McIntyre and Lindsay McLaren, Duyen’s dissertation aims to develop strategies regarding how to scale-up successful health promotion programs from a community level to a population level. To develop these strategies, Duyen will be using Stardale's Honouring the Girls, a community level, targeted program aimed at female urban Aboriginal youths 11-17 years of age, as an example. Duyen holds a masters degree in Developmental Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is a sessional instructor at Mount Royal University and in 2010 she was awarded the CIHR – Population Health Intervention Research Centre Scholarship.
