Lynn McIntyreBiography: Lynn McIntyre is currently Professor and CIHR Chair in Gender and Health in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She joined the University of Calgary in July 2006. Prior to coming to Calgary, Dr. McIntyre served three terms as Dean of the Faculty of Health Professions at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dr. McIntyre holds both a medical degree and master's degree in Community Health and Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Community Medicine. This is the medical specialty dedicated to public health. Research Interests: Dr. McIntyre's research is focused upon hunger and food insecurity issues both domestically and in lower and middle income settings. She is particularly interested in women and uses both quantitative and qualitative means to address food insecurity and the food provisioning experience.
