Gavin McCormack

Biography: Gavin joined the Population Health Intervention Research Centre in 2007 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, after completing his PhD in Public Health at the University of Western Australia. He has completed a Bachelor of Science (Human Movement) degree at the University of Western Australia and a Master of Science (Sports Science) degree at Edith Cowan University in Perth. In February 2012 Gavin was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary. He is also an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with the Centre for the Built Environment and Health in the School of Population Health at the University of Western Australia.

Research interests: Environmental determinants of health behaviour among adults and children (with a particular interest in the associations between the built and social environments and physical activity)
