Valerie Haines

Dr Valerie Haines is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology. She became involved in the Centre through ICCI. Her ongoing role as head of the Social Network Analysis Program in the Centre has been secured with Markin endowment funds. This has allowed her to develop her research on the role of social networks in health, in particular to interrogate the way social capital is theorised and measured in public health.
