Tammy Findlay

Biography: Tammy Findlay is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), College for Interdisciplinary Studies with the University of British Columbia. In addition to her project, “Social Capital, Social Economy and Social Reproduction: Community-Based Child Care in Canada,” Tammy will be working with Dr. Paul Kershaw examining the relationship between neighbourhood governance and child outcomes in British Columbia.

Tammy began her fellowship in 2008, after completing her PhD in Political Science at York University, where she held a SSHRC doctoral fellowship and an Ontario Graduate Scholarship. She has a BA from Huron University College, University of Western Ontario, and an MA from York University.

Research Interests: gender and public policy, feminist political economy, social policy, federalism, political representation.
