Chris Degeling

Biography: Chris joined the Population Health Intervention Research Centre in the spring of 2010 as a Postdoctoral fellow, having previously been in veterinary practice in Australia and the UK. He received his doctorate in the philosophy of medicine at the University of Sydney in 2009. Chris is currently developing a project with Dr. Melanie Rock examining how non-human health ‘knowledges’ can be utilised to realise human population health outcomes. He is an Honorary Associate of the Centre for Values, Ethics and Law at the University of Sydney.

Research Interests: human-animal relations, bioethics, medical epistemology and the history and philosophy of biomedicine.
