"A criminal profiler works in a area that draws upon all other fields of Forensic Science. It is only one investigative tool. Whether or not a conviction is made is dependent on the availability of physical evidence and investigative ability. Profiling will only help to narrow down possible suspects and lead to an understanding of the physical evidence" (Turvey, 1997).
