Patients/Clients/Mentally Ill Offenders male/female ages vary from juvenile to 90s incarcerated for a crime (anything from murder to shop lifting) Career Path Education Basic General Nursing Degree Practicum experiences in undergraduate/graduate degrees in forensic correctional/prison settings Option courses (degree transferable) in forensic psychiatric/correctional nursing Certificate course or programs in Forensic Nursing Experience (some preferred background experience) Emergency Nursing Psychiatric Nursing Worksites: (Forensic Correctional Nursing) Correctional nurses work within the correctional setting i.e. remand centres, correctional centres, state or country jails, federal or state prisons.
