the concept of 'custody and caring'. No other concept
in the forensic psychiatric/correctional arena has been
as significant as the 'custody versus caring' dilemma.
- Describe the
inherent dilemmas embedded in the dual responsibility
of providing both custody and caring.
- Evaluate societal
norms that have influenced the concepts of custody and
caring in the past and that exist to-day.
