Lunchtime panel and discussion: Cracking the dress code
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. MST
Join us for a catered lunch and discussion about a very "haute" topic. Has the way we dress for work changed with the times or are there still unspoken rules to follow? In this session, you can share your thoughts as we unpack the expectations and discuss the changing attitudes towards how we present ourselves at work.
Topics we'll discuss:
- The history and issues surrounding "dress codes" for work, especially for women
- Why this might be changing given current trends and shifts in work (e.g. covid - remote work, advances in gender equity, changing cultural expectations)
- The experiences of professionals who may not "fit" expectations, including how they dress, tattoos, hair, etc.
- How can we balance professional image and personal expression?
