The University of Calgary offers both competitive and nominated awards and bursaries to students who are currently or will be enrolled in the Faculty of Law.

3 Students who are completing their undergraduate degree and proceeding immediately into a professional degree program (e.g. dentistry, law, medicine), must print an application from this web site:  www.ucalgary.ca/awards and submit the completed application to the Student Awards Office by June 1 Students who will be entering a professional degree program, but who have not completed their undergraduate degree, do not need to complete an application as they will be considered automatically Students need not be returning to the University of Calgary, but must be entering the program at a recognized post-secondary institution

Sheldon M. Chumir Memorial Award in Ethics, Human Rights and Civil Liberties Endowed through the Sheldon M. Chumir Foundation for Ethics in Leadership and several corporate donors.  This award is given in memory of Sheldon M. Chumir (1940-1992), LLB, Rhodes Scholar, Alberta MLA (1986-1992) and humanitarian. 1 up to $2500 1 Offered to a student in any year in the LLB program in the Faculty of Law.
