Provost and Vice-President (Academic)

Dru Marshall

Dr. Dru Marshall has been the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) of the University of Calgary since 2011.

Marshall has worked in the post-secondary education sector in Alberta for 26 years, serving for the last 11.5 years as a senior administrator (7 years as Provost and Vice President Academic at the University of Calgary, and 4.5 years as Deputy Provost at University of Alberta). She has held numerous committee appointments, including chairing the Alberta Council of Senior Academic Officers,  and currently chairs the U-15 Group of Canadian Research Universities Provosts and serves as the only non-American executive committee member on the Council of Academic Affairs of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities. Dr. Marshall holds a BPE with distinction from the University of Manitoba, and an MSc and PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Alberta.
