The SSC will move into its permanent home in the Taylor Family Digital Library in spring 2011.

The Student Success Centre comprises existing and new services for students. Several departments have been amalgamated into the new centre, including the Undergraduate Programs Office, the Fine Arts Student Success Team (FASST), the Office of the Student Experience and the Effective Writing Centre.

Programming previously offered by these offices will continue to be provided through the SSC, including program advising for the arts and science faculties, student success seminars and various leadership-training programs.

Students will also be able access new programs and services including:

  • Daily learning support workshops
  • Personalized career counseling workshops
  • A first-year experience program
  • Enhanced writing support services
“Creating a space where students know they can go for their academic and personal support needs is a vital part to ensuring their success, from the moment they step on campus to the day they walk across the convocation stage,” says Ann Tierney, vice-provost (students).

The Student Success Centre aims to enable students to build a strong foundation for success, and ensure the academic support needs of our students are met through integrated programs and personalized services that are tailored to meet their needs.
